My name is Lioba Steinkamp, I’m a classical homeopath with a practice in Amsterdam West (Westerpark). I am originally from Germany and have been living in The Netherlands more than half of my life. Classical homeopathy is a very gentle yet profound form of treatment that helps identify and cure the root of diseases. In naturopathy, we assume that our body is basically on our side and knows what it takes to heal. In homeopathy we call this the vital life force, in Ayurveda it is called prana and in Chinese medicine it is called Chi.

During a homeopathic treatment we will look together at the deeper causes, the reason why your body developed symptoms and what they are trying to tell you. Because every body has its own language that responds in its own unique way. And together we will go on a journey in which we listen very carefully to your body, to your mind and even to your dreams to understand where your path is taking you.

Our bodies are deeply and intricately intertwined with our minds, our emotions, our personal histories, and also that of our ancestors. Through symptoms, our body indicates where there are blockages, traumas or aspects that need to be changed.

To get the change going, we need some form of a catalyst. A well-chosen homeopathic remedy will encourage positive change and help you find a new and healthy balance. During this process you learn to understand yourself better, perhaps discover new aspects in yourself and take your health back into your own hands. This can sometimes happen quite quickly and sometimes it is a process that will take a while. But you will notice how you start to feel better and more powerful at every level!

Classical homeopathy can be used successfully in both acute and chronic diseases. I’m also prescribing Schüssler cell salts and Bach blossom remedies alongside the chosen constitutional homeopathic remedy.
